Coconut flour

Coconut grows in tropical areas all over the world. There are two types of coconut: the unripe green coconut and the ripe brown coconut. The nutritional value and the flavour of the coconut differ depending on the ripeness of the coconut.

The first type contains a large amount of water and soft meat, which is used to prepare cakes and beverages in order to improve the taste. That is the early stage of the development of the coconut fruit on the tree. The coconut turns brown as it ripens. It can be used by itself as food or to make desserts. A ripe coconut can replace walnuts and almonds in many recipes, and some desserts cannot be made without it.
